This updated unit at the Surf dweller complex is very large. It sleeps 6 people with a King size bed in the master bedroom, a Queen and a Twin bed in the guest bedroom and a twin size daybed in the living area. This condo is not set up like any other in the complex. The view from the extra-large balcony is enjoyed from the living room, dining area and extra-large kitchen with brand new cabinets and Refrigerator. the living area has a built-in bar area that runs the entire width of the room with all new cabinets, sink and refrigerator. This condo has never been a rental condo so as you would expect it is super well stocked for a family stay. Each room has a flat screen TV and DVD players. This condo also has Wi-Fi internet. This condo has to be seen!

  We have enjoyed numerous stays at this condo over the past several years. It is one of the largest 2 bedroom Condos right on the beach with great views of the water, sunrises, and sunsets. Large balcony and this one has a container full of beach toys, noodles, etc. And this is the only one at Surf Dweller that has the Kitchen and Dining areas as well as the Living Room facing the beach. One of the best equipped kitchen of any of the condos we've rented in this complex. Has just about anything you can think of to cook meals and plenty of storage containers. It is very close to one of our favorite restaurants, Stewby's as well as groceries and other attractions. I believe in years past all of the Surf Dweller's dryer vents are scheduled to have the ducts cleaned out. The dryer dries but takes longer than it has in the past so I think having the vent cleaned out would improve the efficiency. Beds are comfortable but they are pretty high and have stools so if this is a problem for you physically then just be aware of it. Blackout curtains in second bedroom were added this year and helpful to minimize the walkways lighting, which was always a problem in the past. The keyless entry didn't work every time but Austin was quick to come and after several attempts to fix it the property management replaced it and we had no more problems. Joey was a wonderful beach service guy. We also had our families 50th, 25th, and 15th vow renewal on the beach. Hurricane didn't affect us very much. A few details to let Chris know about but no deal breakers. Can't fix what they don't know about. We will be back at Surf Dweller next year.

  We have rented this unit 3 years in a row, usually for a month. We stayed a week this month but will be back for the month of September.
  This visit the unit and service was not up to par.
  1.Toliet seat in master was broken and took 3 days to get repaired. Did the cleaning person not notice and report? Why did it take 3 days to have repaired.
  2. Cono floors were dirty. If you walked in socks or barefooted you had black feet. Tea pot appeared to have rust in it. The general cleanliness just was very poor.
  3. Sink stopper in master was broken wouldn't hold water.
  4. Guest toilet had to be tightened to the floor.
  5. Blood stain on pillow sham and bedspread in master.
  6. One of the evaluators was inop for entire week and I understand from an owner it been that way for some time.
  7. Walkways are incredibly dirty and need power washing.
  8. Only 1 parking pass was issued, however patrons that rented from other agencies still received 2.
  9. This condo is comfortable and well stocked but needs a deep cleaning. Not what we expect for the price.

  We have stayed at the Surf Dweller Condos for over 25 years and this unit several times in recent years. It is well equipped, especially the kitchen. The reconfiguration of the unit has its pluses and minuses but we like it and being able to eat while looking out over the water is a plus. A personal preference would be that all the units use black-out curtains in the bedrooms. And a recommendation to the cleaning crew would be to double check the tea kettle and the Keurig to make sure water isn't left in them. Renters don't know how long the water has been there and the inside of the kettle needed some attention when we got there. Otherwise, no complaints. It is a lovely unit right on the beach and very spacious. The owners have lots of little extras available to use. Close to one of our favorites, Stewby's and just about anywhere else you'd like to eat. We are beach people so don't spend a lot of time doing other activities but there is plenty to do with kids and adults nearby. FWB is becoming more crowded as more people discover our paradise. The new proposals for Santa Rosa Blvd concern me with more and more people renting. However, this has nothing to do with the owner of this condo, just an observation on the amount of traffic on the Island and between there and Destin nowadays. We love FWB and have never vacationed anywhere else in Florida. Definitely recommend Surf Dweller and this unit.

  I don’t have a lot of complaints about the actual condo itself. It was very clean and very large. It had a great view. The only negatives about the condo is that there was no hot water in the sink in the kitchen. Also, the ice maker in the wet bar did not work. Otherwise, it was fully stocked. Beds were comfortable.
  The negative side of this, unfortunately for the owners of this condo, are things that they do not have direct control over. The complex I was not impressed with at all. The elevators were a huge issue every single day. They broke down every day. Some days we had to carry our beach wagon up and down stairs. The pool was subpar. Parking was not great. One night we got home and there were no parking spots left. We had to make our own parking spot (along with three other vehicles). The free beach service was done a little weird in my opinion.
  Unfortunately, I would not stay here again. Not because of the condo itself, but because the complex needs to get its stuff together.

    The condo inside is everything that belongs to the owner, and she put in a lot of money into this unit. The ice maker is irreparable, as they cannot get the parts. We don't understand why no hot water in the sink, but, everything is taken cared off. As far as the property is concerned is beyond our control, it is something we do not handle. That is an HOA issue. I hope that you will see us again.

  Overall this was a great stay! There were a few things wrong with unit but overall a good experience. Second bathroom sink was stopped up from day one. Ice machine at bar does not work and small fridge at bar doesn’t get very cold. Screen door at living area doesn’t work very well. All of these items didn’t matter a great deal except sink problem and all of these items would be easily fixed so still a great place to stay. The view and large patio were awesome. Thanks for a great stay as we got married on the beach in front of the condo. Great memories!

  Condo has a amazing view. Pictures on the internet fail to show the true size of the condo, family of six had plenty of room. This condo is a hidden gem, owner has gone out of their way to make sure you have the little things that we all forget to bring with us avaiable to us use. My only complaint would be, upgrade the washing machine and put a hand held shower head in the master bath shower, it’s to big not to have one. Washing machine is a preference issue

  The condo was wonderful...totally renovated! It was just myself and spouse that stayed in the condo, but this would be the perfect condo for two couples, girl's trip, or family. This condo was fully loaded with all the amenities of home...down to the boogie boards!!! The living/kitchen was very open with windows all the way across and balcony. Also, there was a bar with small frig and ice maker. Great place, great location, great grounds and I would definitely request this unit again!

  Wonderful unit totally different from any we have stayed in for the last 13 years. Kitchen being relocated to where most units have master bedroom is great.
  Only draw back is owner has their stuff in every drawer, closet, cabinet and completely full under every bed. Not totally a problem but greater problem than we have ever experienced ever before.

  This condo was as described in the advertisement. Super close to the beach and extremely comfortable. It had all the amenities you could imagine. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely rent the condo again. The only problem we encountered was with the master bedroom shower... it leaked into the condo below us and we were asked to not use the shower.

  We loved our place, the location and the condo was perfect! The amenities were plenty, the comfortable beds allowed us a restful night. We were close enough to buzz right over to Destin for some "touristy" stuff.
