This neat 2 bedroom 2 bathroom condo is located on the 2nd floor of this beach front complex. It faces the pool and the beach for awesome views of the Gulf of Mexico. It has a King size bed in the Master bedroom, a Queen size bed in the Guest bedroom and a Queen size sofa sleeper in the living room. There are 3 TV's and DVD players and Highspeed internet access available. The open design kitchen looks out over the dining area out to the beach. It is fully equipped with all appliances and there is a washer and dryer in the condo for your convenience.

  We enjoyed our week at Islander 2004. The location and the complex was so easy to get from room to pool to beach to parking. Stairs and elevators were located perfectly. There were a couple of small repairs needed to the unit. The broken chair on balcony was probably the only one that affected our comfort. I listed a few things and left it with the key in drop box on check out.

  The trip was overall great, however the pool at the Islander is not cleaned daily like I have seen at other facilities. There was sand all in the bottom, and the scum line was never touched during our stay. Very unsafe to swim in. Pools should be cleaned daily.

  For a last minute reservation, due to Hurricane Sally, this place was great. Only complaint is some of the pots need to be replaced due to being burnt inside and unusable. The refrigerator door handle needs to be fixed before it falls off and same goes for the oven door. Other than those minor things, this place was perfect and we definitely plan on visiting again.

  Beach was great. Condo needed a carpet clean, some new comforters, bathroom showers were discusting, the walls were literally slimy. Overall it wasn’t a disaster but for the money you shell out for these condos you can get a very nice hotel room. Owners should spend a couple bucks and shampoo carpet and get on their cleaning crews.

  The rental is in a good location with a great view. The rental itself needs attention. The mattress on sleeper sofa needs to be replaced. Very uncomfortable and shouldn't even be advertised as a place for 2 more people to sleep. My sister had to buy blow up mattresses for my nieces in order to be semi-comfortable. There was also no mattress cover for sofa. When we arrived there were 6 towels/face cloths for 6 people which is fine but when you have 6 people and some with long hair you need more than just 6 towels. Sure we could have done laundry everyday but my issue is when the property management was contacted the person had me going around counting towels "because you should have 10" before they finally brought more. We were all sneezing during the stay I looked at the AC filter it looked was disgusting. Covered it dirt and grime. Carpet and throw rugs disgusting. Overall not a good experience.

  It's very nice to be able to call your realtor without going through a long menu trying to get to speak to a person. Any issues we have ever had I've been able to call or go to the office directly and speak to someone and on that note this office has always "made it right". We had a fridge that didn't seem to cool, they made it right the next day. There was a hurricane coming and it was no problem for them to offer a refund for the nights that we had to evacuate the island.

  Amazing location just steps from the beach! Beautiful gulf front view! The free beach chairs/umbrella were a HUGE plus! The condo was very spacious, & my family of 6 had room without bring “on top” of each other. Only minor complaint is that it could use some “updating” to kitchen supplies (mainly pots/pans) & stove/oven. Overall, we were pleased & would recommend/stay here again. The rental agency was easy to work with, & we had no trouble getting to our condo even though we arrived afte the office was closed.

  Overall it was a great vacation. We really enjoyed our time in the Ft. Walton area. The location was great and overall the property was clean and well taken care of. We really enjoyed having the 2 chairs and umbrella available every day. We had trouble with our washing machine and it was taken care of very quickly and the guys that came to look at it were very nice and friendly. The only thing I would say is that our individual condo could use some updating, maybe a fresh coat of paint and carpet seems to be pretty worn in places. Upholstered furniture could use a cleaning also. Overall though a great experience and really enjoyed the area. Will keep it on the list of places to return!!

  We've stayed in other condos on Okaloosa Island & we thoroughly enjoyed Islander Beach Resort 2004. Our only suggestion would be a change in at least one of the recliners, as they are small & not very comfortable for a "big & tall" man, like my husband. I imagine this is due to space restraints, but,this condo was spacious with all the comforts of home. Beds were comfortable, kitchen was stocked well with necessary cooking items, the balcony was quite roomy & the view...well, it just doesn't get any better! Even with Tropical Cindy moving through for 3 of the 7 days we were there, we still LOVE the gulf & found many other things to do in the area until the weather cleared & we could enjoy the beach & pool. Amanda was very accommodating with our check-in & answering questions we had. We thoroughly enjoyed out stay & will book this unit again!

  Condo location was awesome! Condo was no frills but clean and just what we wanted and loved the lay out too.   Love staying at The Islander. First time in this unit. Stayed in 2005 before. This unit was clean but needed some work. Master bedroom overhead fan light would not come on. Had to use lamps. Kitchen light came on sporadically. Sometimes you would have to hit the switch 2-3 times. TV in living room didn't seem to be on HD and picture was on zoom and you couldn't see all of the picture. Remote was generic so we could not figure out how to correct it. But even with the issues we had, I would still stay here again.

  We had a very enjoyable stay at the Islander. The unit was older (you could tell mostly in the bathrooms around the baseboards), but it was clean. Location was perfect.

  Nice beach area, nice facilities, except for the elevators---I have stayed at this property twice---the first visit I got stuck on the elevator for about 10 minutes (hot with no air)and my next trip the elevators kept overhheating setting off the fire alarm 3 times, causing evacuations at midnight and the fire department kept having to come---clearly the elevators need to be replaced. I used the stairs except for when I had to use a cart. Some people where unable to use a cart and had to walk all of their belongings up and down the stairs. For those with babies and elderly persons, it was quite an ordeal for a "VACATION". Otherwise, great location, nice, clean and comfortable, great view and all the things that you need in the condo.

  Overall everything was great. The one big issue was there was a small blood stain on the comforter. We didn’t use it. Also the TVs were the old style, but they were functional. Who goes to the beach to watch TV anyway? Everyone was friendly and the beach was wonderful. We do plan on staying at the Islander Beach Resort again.
