  Overall, the condo was as described. The deadbolt didn’t work from the outside...you could only lock it if you were in the condo. It was definitely more than 30 yards from the beach, but still not a bad walk to get there. We had a good time and I would stay here again.

  This condo is a nice location just steps away from the beach, the two pools were clean and easy to get to. They are located at the very end of the strip so there is no traffic beyond your condo. The condo was clean, mostly updated however it’s considered a home away from home so you have to wash your towels if your run out, bring all your cleaning, toilet paper, paper towels, laundry detergent, dishwasher pods, dish soap.. ect because it is not provided to you. There’s washing machines on each level and it’s $1.50 to wash and dry so something to keep in mind if your staying a whole week and want clean bath towels and dish towels. Overall this was a nice quiet place, the kitchen is nice to have to cook breakfast and lunch and not have to eat out so much!

The building has a small laundry room for your convenience for your washing. We only provide you with complimentary, soap,t.paper and g. bags and the rest is on you. We provide 10 bath towels and hand towels, and we don't do room service, as you are on vacation for either 3 days or a week, so you have to pick all those amenities that you will need. The condo, is a very comfortable and delightful place to enjoy your vacation.

  IT was a really good experience. The Property is really nice and an amazing location. The Condo itself had a few issues. The Sliding back door was in rough shape and really hard to open and close. The Fan in the Master was a lil sketchy. and A few of the Doors to the Pantry and Closet were in rough shape. Other than that, Great experience!

  El Matador- 117 was a great rental experience for my family of four. We have two Children (5&2) and this location was perfect. No Elevators needed to get to the room and a short walk to the pool and beach. The condo itself was in great condition and comfortably fit our family! The floors were a bit dirty/sandy, but that’s to be expected on a first floor condo near the beach. There was some minor maintenance that was needed, but did not hinder our stay at all. The outdoor space outside the condo also allowed a grassy area for our kids to run around in. I highly recommend this condo for families traveling and looking for a nice relaxing vacation. If we head back to the pan handle we will absolutely consider this condo again.

  This was a great and affordable vacation for our family of four. The place is in a close location to the beach. Just walk out of the unit and down the path to the beach. It is an older place, but it has been renovated and was clean. It had a “retro/ Old Florida” feel to it and we liked that too. Lots of grassy areas for families to grill out or relax and watch the sunset. We did have some issues with the internet, but someone came right away from the realty company to fix. Very family friendly place and we would stay here again.

  Love the El Matador complex. Looks like they stepped up their game. Grounds were neat, pools were clean. Love the area. Beach was superb. The water was the best I've seen in years. No seaweed or jellyfish. However, this unit is very old and outdated. Was certainly adequate, but not up to the standards of others. Have rented about a dozen units over the years and this was by far the worst.

  Our experience was pretty good. The place could use some updating, but served our purpose well. There was a bad smell when we first walked in the door (later deduced that it was the vent a hood filter) but we sprayed room deodorizer and was better after that. And I there needs to be places on the patio to hang things.
  All in all it was a good place to do the beach (which is further than 50 yards, but still close).

    Thanks for enjoying the El Matador unit 117, and i so sorry you experienced a bad smell in the condo, but, we are going to be updating the kitchen and stove, so next time you come down, it should be done. The unit had a lot of things done to it, and most of all the painting of the walls, and some new mattresses and comforters, and most of all very convenient to the 2nd pool and tennis courts, and then just 50 yds out to the main pool. We hope you also enjoyed our beautiful beach and white sand. Come back.

  We enjoyed our stay. El Matador as a whole was great and our unit 117 was decent. The only complaints were the unit needs to get rid of that nasty carpet and ideally have all tile floors. Also the outdoor furniture was terrible and the plastic chairs almost collapsed while sitting in them.

  as i have said before my mother discovered the el matador in the early seventies when i believe it was new .This place became our home away from home 2 to 3 times a year.our last last trip was around july 2002 my family stayed in 414 and my mother had her all time favorite room 415 i believe was the number .its the one closest to beach in bldg 4 . well shortly after that trip my mother was diagnosed with cancer and past away in november and since then i have been able to return until this year .it was such a wonderful trip that has soon as we got home and settled in my daughter and i were planing our next trip .my daughter suggested somewhere else less costly i said no the EL Matador is a special place for me and always will be as long as i live .

  The unit is old, but nice. The furniture on the balcony is plastic and very old, but we never used it anyways. Also, there was a problem with lights -- some of them were accidentally not working. But overall the unit is nice and if any problems occur they will fix them quickly.
